Per-Second Footage Licenses

Storm Video Kit CD
The StormScenes Storm Video Kit is our specialized solution to the most-requested type of stock video for in-house corporate, ministry, school, church and non-profit use. The Storm Video Kit is a CD-ROM disk containing three full minutes of full-quality severe weather footage, including lightning, flood, tornado, hurricane, rain, storm cloud and wind video, as well as full-quality sound files of thunder and wind. With the StormScenes Storm Video Kit, you can easily assemble the clips any way you want in any video editing software, slideshow presentations and more. Special Footage Assignment
Occasionally, a producer may need a specific, hard-to-find piece of weather or storm footage not appearing in our archives. For this very specialized need, we offer our premiere Special Footage Assignment service as a solution. When you place a Special Footage Assignment order with StormScenes, we will add your specific footage request to our assignment board and distribute it to our cameramen in the field. If and when the opportunity and weather conditions arise, we will make your Special Footage Assignment a priority and attempt to capture the specific shots you requested. StormScenes Theme Packs
A StormScenes Theme Pack is a MiniDV cassette containing uncompressed, full-quality video footage suitable for professional production and broadcast uses. StormScenes tapes come with licenses that allow unlimited incorporation into new or derivative works for a period of one or more years of your choosing. A StormScenes Theme Pack can save advertising, production and broadcast companies hundreds or even thousands of dollars in weather footage costs compared to per-second stock footage licenses and royalties. StormScenes Theme Packs are available in seven titles: Lightning, Hurricanes, Tornadoes, Storm Clouds, Floods, Severe Weather Pack, and All Weather Pack. Video Editing/Custom Services
For the client with a unique project need, we offer basic nonlinear video editing services that enable us to create customized products using StormScenes footage. Video editing functions include addition of transitions, layered video and audio tracks, motion graphics, on-screen text, and more. For example, we can create a dramatic corporate presentation opener consisting of a two-minute sequence with condensed rapid-fire lightning video and enhanced thunder audio, and topped with your company logo in the center of the screen. Still Photography
In addition to the StormScenes video products, Appalachian Skies Media also offers a large catalog of hundreds of severe weather images from both digital and 35mm sources. Our photos of close lightning strikes, tornadoes and spectacular clouds are perfect for use in advertisements, product labels and packaging, magazine articles, and even pan-zoom use in video productions. Audio Sound Effects
Our video library also includes a selection of stereo audio recordings of weather phenomena for use in video production, radio, theatrics, and more. Our Audio Effects Library offers sounds of thunder, wind, and even flash floods. In addition to our audio reels, stereo audio can also be extracted from any of our video reels and licensed at the General Weather/B-roll rate.
